Social media queen Kim Kardashian has shared a throwback clip of husband Kanye West with her fans.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, 39, shared the clip today on the birthday of Kanye's late mother, Dr. Donda C. West, who would have been 71-years-old.

Kim posted the footage without a caption on social media, which showed Kanye, now 43, singing his song Hey Mama to Donda and dancing beside his beloved mum.

Kanye was incredibly close to his mother, who passed away in 2007 at the age of 58 following surgery.

The final coroner's report regarding her death concluded the cause of her death was "coronary artery disease and multiple post-operative factors due to or as a consequence of liposuction and mammoplasty."

Donda had been a professor of English at Chicago University before retiring from her academic career to work as Kanye's manager full-time.

The single mother had raised Kanye alone after she divorced his father, former Black Panther and photojournalist Ray West in 1980.

She sadly did not live long enough to see her son marry Kim and meet her grandchildren: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm West.

Following Donda's death, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed legislation dubbed the "Donda West Law" to ensure that patients receive clearance following a thorough medical examination before undergoing cosmetic surgery.

Last year, Kim recalled how she had met Donda back in 2007, merely two months before Kanye's mother died.

Kim tweeted in January 2019: "Fun Fact- in this pic I was on my way to meet Kanye for his Good Life performance for the MTV Awards.

"I didn’t really know him but his people called my people lol & I was a girl in the audience at the live performance in Vegas. I met his mom Donda this same night."

Kim Kardashian-West has publicly endorsed Kanye West running for President

As usual, Kanye and Kim are never far from the headlines, but have lately courted further media attention after Kanye revealed his plans to run for President of the United States of America in 2020.

However, reports and previous remarks appear to indicate that despite Kim's public endorsement of her husband's political ambitions, she does not agree with his policies.

A source told Entertainment Tonight: "Kim will always support Kanye, but she doesn’t have to always agree with him, and that’s what makes their relationship special."

Kanye will be running on stances that include divisive viewpoints such as anti-vaccination and anti-abortion stances.
