Kim Kardashian has reportedly paid her estranged husband Kanye West $20 million in cash for their Hidden Hills mansion in California, amid their divorce.

The property is thought to be valued at $60 million after the couple bought it for $40 million and renovated it to at a cost of millions.

According to TMZ, Kim has also agreed to pay a further $3 million to Kanye for the contents of the house they once shared.

The US media site has reported that the valuation was due to the couple's impressive collection of artwork, which they have brought together over the years.

The 40-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has been living in the house since she split from rapper Kanye, 44, and it was an original bone of contention at the beginning of the divorce with Kanye reluctant to relinquish any assets he owned.

Kim and their four children North, eight, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and two-year-old Psalm are seemingly planning to stay at the sprawling mansion, as they have done since she filed for divorce in February.

TMZ has reported that Kanye "signed over his rights to the property" two weeks ago and that Kim is now the sole owner of the property.

Negotiations, in the end, were "extremely cordial" between the couple, with Kim's offer to pay in cash smoothing the deal for Kanye.

The property featured in Architectural Digest in February 2020, giving fans the first opportunity to see the minimalist design that Kim and Kanye chose since moving there nearly seven years ago.

Kanye was the creative force behind the redesign of the house, which was assisted by renowned Belgian interior decorator Axel Vervoort.

Kanye said about what Vervoort brought to the process: "When I saw the kind of work he was doing, I thought, This man could design Batman's house. I had to work with him.

"It was a coup to get Axel to come to Calabasas to redo a McMansion, which is essentially what the house was."

A source told Page Six in January that Kim wanted to persuade Kanye to let her keep the property, so she will be pleased that a deal could be done

The source said: "Kim is trying to get Kanye to turn over the Calabasas house to her, because that's where the kids are based and growing up.

"That is their home. She owns all the land and adjoining lots around the house but Kanye owns the actual house. They've both put a lot of money into renovating it."
