Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have indicated that an official split could soon be announced as they reportedly quit marriage counselling.

The 40-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is thought to have wanted to try and find some common ground with her husband but they are reportedly "not on the same page."

The alleged breakdown in counselling has seen Kanye reportedly contact divorce lawyers of his own, as their marriage breakdown looks to be on the cards.

They have been married since May 2014, when they tied the knot in Florence, Italy, but People has now reported that they have "completely" stopped trying to save their marriage.

A source told them that the 43-year-old rapper is "talking to divorce lawyers this week."

This follows reports that Kim is already in talks with high-profile, celebrity divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser.

A source told People: "They are just not on the same page when it comes to their future as a family. And Kim is okay with it."

Kim is thought to want to focus on their children - North seven, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, who turns two in May - as well as her fight for criminal justice reform.

She continues to live in their $60 million Calabasas mansion while Kanye is living in his $14 million Wyoming ranch, where he has "no plans" to return to Los Angeles to be with Kim and the kids.

The source continued: "Kim knows what she wants to do with her life. She wants to keep living in L.A., create the best life for the kids and focus on her work passions."

It would seem that Kim and Kanye are now on different paths and his presidential ambitions along with some controversial outbursts on Twitter while amid a reported "bipolar episode", seems to have condemned their marriage to the dumpster.

Another source added: "The love story between Kim and Kanye has been over for a long time. They adored each other but have too many differences."
