Thiago probably gave the ball away more than he ever has done on Saturday, especially early on but then he grew into the game.

If you don’t buy a ticket, you don’t win the prize. He’s getting the hang of it now on the edge of the box. He’s got a fantastic shot on him, as we saw last week in the Champions League against Porto.

He’s only got a short back-lift so to get the power he generated was amazing. It’s great to see him getting amongst the goals, we need midfielders scoring goals because we can’t depend on the strikers alone.

And he's a great player for someone like Tyler Morton to learn from.

I’ve seen a lot of Tyler playing when doing commentary for LFC TV. He’s neat and tidy and the manager has seen something in him to give him his opportunity.

He’s done really well in the games he’s played, especially for a lad his age. It’s great for the academy.

Credit to Alex Inglethorpe and all the academy coaches, it’s important they get these players forward.

Hopefully he’s going to be a first team player for years to come. He’s been with the club since he was six. He loves the club, his family love the club and that’s what you want to see.

Konate has to improve one thing

Konate is learning from the best. I think I could play alongside Van Dijk at the moment!

He did alright but he needs to really work on is his heading. He’s 6ft 4, he’s built like a brickhouse, he’s really good on the deck but when he attacks the ball, he needs to work on it because he doesn’t attack it like he should in the air.

He lets it bounce off his head sometimes when he should be coming centre-forwards, attacking the ball and getting distance on it.

Must-read Liverpool FC news

That’s part of the game that’s dying, heading, but it’s something he needs to work on. All-round he looks brilliant, but his heading given the size of him, he needs to work on it for me.

Liverpool have derby score to settle

It wasn’t nice last year at Goodison. Everything that could have gone against Liverpool, did go against Liverpool.

And they beat us at Anfield, let’s not forget that.

Let’s try and get some normality back to it. I think a few players will want to settle a score from a Liverpool point of view.

What happened to Van Dijk and Thiago was nasty. Everyone knows what happened and I don’t think the manager will need the team talk.

It’s a difficult game, it’s a derby, the fans will be up for it. We all know what it’s like, it’s always tough.

Everton are in place at the moment where you don’t want to be but this is a one-off. It’s like an FA Cup tie, to get the fans back onside.

The reaction after Brentford, towards the players, was unbelievable. That’s not like Everton fans. Rightly or wrongly, they’re very disillusioned at the moment.

There’s a lot of pressure on Everton and Liverpool just have to play their normal game.

Don’t get embroiled into any battles and let their football do the talking. Form goes out the window in these games sometimes so they have to be wary.
