Joe Biden mocked for ‘begging’ for bathroom break in 90 minute debate – ‘Is he up for it?’

According to Fox News, the Democratic candidate’s campaign asked for breaks every 30 minutes to allow both parties to rest. The meeting, which is only scheduled to last 90 minutes, features no commercial breaks.

But President Trump’s campaign countered Mr Biden’s request.

Social media users reacted to Mr Biden’s request and took to Twitter to express their confusion.

One Twitter user wrote: “I must wonder...will the heads of other countries also allow Biden such courtesies?

“What if we become engaged in conflict that requires hours of being engaged?

“Is there anything Biden has shown lately that indicates he is up for such an important job as Leader of the Free World?”

Former New York Mayor, Rudy Giuliani wrote: “Biden is begging for long breaks during just a 90-minute debate!

“It’s either two 15 minute breaks or a half-hour break in the middle.

“So far the Election Commission has stood firm and said they are NOT going to change the practice of 90 minutes WITHOUT a break.”

Singer and actress Bette Middler mocked the two candidates referencing Mr Biden’s apparent need for toilet breaks.

Ms Midler wrote: “Tonight's Presidential Debate is between two men in their 70’s on stage for 90 minutes with no bathroom breaks.

“This could get very interesting. Wouldn’t it be awful if someone left a faucet running?”

However, she showed her support for Mr Biden following a long-standing feud with President Trump.

In a separate tweet, she wrote: “#joeBiden Kick him in the n**s, if you can find them!”

Ms Midler and Mr Trump have recently seen themselves at the centre of several public spats in which they traded insults via Twitter.

Recently, the singer tweeted a fake quote about President Trump, which he countered by branding her a “washed up psycho.”

She also sparked backlash after tweeting that Mr Trump’s wife, Melania, “still can’t speak English” and calling her an “illegal alien”, in what was largely considered a xenophobic attack.

Ms Midler wrote: “#beBest is back! A UGE bore! She can speak several words in a few languages.

"Get that illegal alien off the stage!”

The actress later publicly apologised.
