Jennifer Aniston has become a great aunt.

The Friends superstar, 52, got the new title after her niece Eilish Melick and her husband Sean Nebbia welcomed a baby boy to the world on July 9.

The 24-year-old took to social media to publicly announce the new arrival and has since posted a selection of sweet snaps of her new pride and joy.

When one user asked her how the first few days had been treating her, she simply replied: "So. Tired."

The couple have yet to announce their baby boy's name.

Eilish is the daughter of Jennifer's half brother, John Melick III.

The actress' older half sibling, who is an assistant film director in Hollywood, has a different dad to the Along Came Polly star.

Their mum, Nancy Dow, died in 2016 at the age of 79. At the time, Jennifer was written out of her mum's will leaving the family feuding over her estate.

It's believed that Eilish was on the opposing side to Jennifer in the dispute, leaving it unknown how close the pair currently are.

Jennifer is yet to comment on her niece's new arrival on social media.

Eilish followed in her aunt's footsteps by featuring in several minor acting roles in TV movies before she left her hometown of LA.

She announced she was pregnant in December last year in a sweet social media post.

Jennifer, who doesn't have kids, famously shot down reporters who kept questioning whether she planned to have any children.

In 2016 while married to Justin Theroux, the actress said: "We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies.

“That decision is ours and ours alone. Let's make that decision for ourselves and for the young women in this world who look to us as examples.

"We don't need to be married or mothers to be complete. We get to determine our own 'happily ever after' for ourselves.

"Yes, I may become a mother some day, and since I'm laying it all out there, if I ever do, I will be the first to let you know.

"But I'm not in pursuit of motherhood because I feel incomplete in some way, as our celebrity news culture would lead us all to believe."
