Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has sent a message to his former side following the Reds' victory in the Club World Cup final in Qatar.
A dramatic match against Brazilian side Flamengo was only settled through a Roberto Firmino goal in extra time, which sealed the 1-0 triumph for Jurgen Klopp's side .
The Reds now face a quick turnaround ahead of Boxing Day's top of the table clash against Leicester City, which is followed by another Premier League match a few days later against Wolves.
However, there is sure to be many celebrations for the squad and Carragher's message orientated around the fun that the Reds could have following their triumph.
"Hope LFC have a night like we did in Japan in 2005," he posted on Twitter after the win, alongside an image of him with some of his former teammates.
Carragher himself missed the match as he was providing commentary for Sky Sports' coverage of Manchester City's Premier League game with Leicester City.
Pep Guardiola's side won 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium, reducing Liverpool's advantage in the title race to just 11 points.
