A helicopter used in the James Bond film You Only Live Twice is set to be auctioned off for £22,000.

The black Bell 47G machine was one of four which featured in the 1967 movie when 007, played by Sean Connery, was dodging enemy choppers using an auto gyro plane known as Little Nellie.

The model is believed to be the last remaining 007 Bell 47G helicopter used in the movie.

At 9ft long, it was the biggest of the fleet used in action scenes filmed over mountains above the village of Ebino in Japan, where a photographer lost a leg when the blades of another helicopter came too close.

The sequence was later completed above Torremolinos in Spain.

The helicopter will go under the hammer on Sunday via auctioneers H&S Classics.

The Bell 47G was built for Pinewood Studios by staff working on the film.

Auctioneers in the US sold a smaller example of the Bell 47G, which was used in promotional work for the film, for £17,000 in May 2014.
