Neymar put his injury worries behind him as he celebrated his 28th birthday at a Paris nightspot on Sunday night.

The Brazilian’s PSG teammates joined him at YoYo nightclub and WAGs of the Parisian stars were also invited along to the extravagant bash.

The birthday celebrations came just 48 hours before their Ligue 1 match at Nantes on Tuesday night, which Neymar missed with a rib injury he picked up in Saturday’s 5-0 win over Montpellier.

The players managed to save face by beating Nantes 2-1, putting them five points clear at the top of the table.

Despite securing the important victory, Tuchel was unimpressed with the timing of the party when he spoke to the media prior to the game.

He told a news conference: "Is it the best way to prepare for a match? No, clearly not. Is it the worst thing in the world? No.

”I always protect my players, and I really love my team. With this party, I accept that it is a bit difficult to protect the players, but the context is not simply black or white.

"It is a shame, because we are giving people the chance to speak badly of us. We need to adapt to the situation, but I am not going to leave a player on the bench or at home because they went out and celebrated."

Ex-Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera gave an intriguing insight into the bash.

His Instagram snap was captioned with: “The more they talk, the stronger we are. Congratulations Ney @neymarjr.”

Those captured in the picture included Marco Veratti, Maxim Chupo-Moting, Pablo Sarabia, Leonardo Paredes and Keylor Navas.

It wasn’t just PSG players who attended though in the French capital.

Other Ligue 1 footballers came along, with Lyon forward Memphis Depay among the other notable names present.

Depay also went on Instagram to post a picture with him and the Brazilian together.

He said: “Happy bday bro! Everyone knows you're a world class player, but they don't know the world class person you are!

"Thanks for showing me that bro. Plenty love.”

Other big names present at the party were Edinson Cavani, Mauro Icardi, Angel di Maria, Sergio Rico and Michel Bakker.
