Caroline Flack flew 13 hours to South Africa to shoot steamy scenes for ITV's Love Island advert that has been pulled.

Flack, 40, has quit Love Island after being charged with assault by beating following an alleged fight with her boyfriend Lewis Burton, 27, that led to her arrest.

As the telly host has stepped down, the advert she spent many hours preparing for has been pulled.

Caroline pulled off a number of stunning outfits including an eye-catching sunshine yellow number.

The television host had her make-up and hair transformed before hours of filming commenced.

Before she even made the trip, Caroline faced travel chaos as she had a flight delay and cancellation while at Gatwick Airport.

At the time, she wrote: "Second time lucky...13 hour flight...face being looked after by @rodial and @elemis."

Despite the 13-hour trip to and from South Africa, it was only a fleeting visit to film the advert.

Caroline had been gearing herself up to travel to and from South Africa on a 13-hour trip.

She previously told The Metro of her travel plans: "It’s a 13 hour flight to South Africa. I’ve got to go back and forth the whole time to do Aftersun over here."

Prior to the charges, ITV released a glossy trailer for the new series, beginning on January 12 and set in Cape Town, which features Caroline.

However fans recently noticed that it is no longer being aired and that ITV are airing the original promo instead, showing an aeroplane reflected in some aviator shades with the tagline reading: "Do one winter."

The original ad is still available on social media but has been removed from YouTube.

An ITV source told The Sun Online the ad would not be shown on TV anymore. Mirror TV has reached out to Love Island reps for comment.

The recent trailer saw Caroline partying with some sexy singles as the referenced a number of jokes from this year's series of Love Island.

Arriving at the pool party, she told the camera: "Sorry winter, you're just not our type."

This comes amid a flurry of speculation as to who could replace Caroline on the show and co-host AfterSun with Iain Stirling.
