Fed up Strictly Come Dancing viewers have hit out at the judges in defence of contestant Maisie Smith after she once again failed to get a perfect score on the show.
The series has been a rough ride for the the young EastEnders actress who, despite always scoring well with the judges, landed in the bottom two for two weeks in a row.
There was dance-off reprieve for the 19-year-old and partner Gorka Marquez last week and they were in fine form on Saturday night as they went for a place in the semi final with a jive to Little Shop of Horrors for Strictly's annual Musicals Week.
Craig Revel-Horwood told her: "Your energy is absolute insane darling! Fantastic musicality, really complex changes of rhythm that you absolutely nailed.
"It's one of my favourite musicals. Just so gorgeous, well done...absolutely smashed it!"
Head judge Shirley Ballas, who voted against Maisie in the dance-off a few weeks ago, told her: "I think you did exactly what you wanted to do and smashed it for sure!
"What I was more than impressed with is that you're starting to get your feet in beautiful, ladylike positions. That just adds to the beauty of what you already have."
Last to give her critique, Motsi Mabuse said: "I absolutely loved it, adored it yes yes!"
And viewers watching at home were fuming on her behalf.
Twitter was full of damning comments against the judges. One blasted: "Excuse me? I was expected a perfect score for maisie?? What does the girl need to do to get that? Yet they slam out their 10's for other celebrities performances that haven't even been anywhere near worthy."
Agreeing whole heartedly, another reacted: "no I’m sorry maisie, that was a 10,10,10 performance! couldn’t tell who the pro was" and a third posted: "Well done Maisie and Gorka that was brilliant but what on earth was that score? 9,10,9?
