CHELSEA fans loved N'Golo Kante's reaction to their penalty shootout victory over Southampton on Tuesday night.
The Frenchman was rested after experiencing muscle soreness in training prior to the Blues' 7-0 thrashing of Norwich City last weekend.
He attended the match in the seats just behind Thomas Tuchel's substitutes, and was clearly kicking every ball with his team-mates.
The Blues took the lead on the stroke of half-time through makeshift forward Kai Havertz.
But they were pegged back just two minutes after the break as Che Adams pounced on an error by Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The match went to penalties after the score remained 1-1.
And Kepa was able to redeem himself by saving Theo Walcott's spot kick in the subsequent shootout.
As Chelsea sealed progression to the next round, Kante could be seen on the sideline having made his way down.

Wearing a green jacket, the 30-year-old's pearly whites were on display as he beamed from ear to ear.
Blues fans online adored the wholesome reaction from one of their best players.
One wrote: "If Ngolo Kante is happy then so are we."
While another added: "If you're going to be anything today, BE N'Golo Kante!"
Tuchel is hoping to have his star midfielder back available this weekend, as the Blues travel to Newcastle United before jetting out to Sweden to play Malmo in midweek.
