I’m A Celeb fans accuse show of fixing Shane Richie to win by giving him all the air time

I'M A Celebrity fans are mad that Shane Richie is getting so much air time and think the shows rigged in his favour.

Some savvy viewers noticed Shane consistently getting most of the screen time and those who were getting less, dipped in popularity - and in the case of Beverly Callard - were sent home.

"Is it a fix? they only show annoying #ShaneRichie for most of it rather than giving everyone else fair air time. Jordan, Beverley & others just aren’t shown enough compared to first week equal air time no wonder Bev’s gone. #stopthebias," wrote one angry fan.

Another added: "#ImACeleb too easy for Shane. Fixed for the girls to get the worst trials."

A third said: "So #JessicaPlummer and #AJPritchard get an impossible task and Shane gets the easiest one in #ImACeleb history. Fixed s***e going on me thinks."

But other fans were quick to point out that Shane is probably getting a lot of air time as it was the viewers themselves voting for him to do the trials.

"If you didn't keep voting for #Shane to do the trials, he wouldn't get as much air time and wouldn't p**s you all off so much," a Twitter user stated.

Shane's plentiful air time comes as the actor plots a return to Walford as the beloved character, Alfie Moon.

The 56-year-old actor, who played the legendary soap character for 17 years, is determined to make it back onto the BBC One show.

However, the star insists he will release a new autobiography first - where he will dish the dirt on his fellow I'm A Celebrity campmates.

Shane said: "There is talk of updating my autobiography and it will be called Beyond the Moon.

"It will be all about the five years when I was doing all of those dramas and the game shows and reality shows and I have made notes but it's finding the time.

On returning to EastEnders, he added: "I could well go back to EastEnders but I am not sure when exactly that’s going to be. In Reigate, where I live, they don’t watch EastEnders. I don’t think people in Surrey full stop watch EastEnders.

"But it is amazing how people think that I am still in it. I think because they are talking about Alfie in the show that people assume I am still in it and people are always nice."

Shane starred in EastEnders from 2002 until his exit in 2005.

He later returned in 2010 before departing again in 2016.
