To honor frontline workers and the hard work that they put in last year the iconic venue is putting on five free shows for healthcare workers, first responders, and essential workers before the venue officially opens to the public.

The five free shows include a pair of performances by the Los Angeles Philharmonic conducted by Gustavo Dudamel on May 15 and 22, an advance screening of the new documentary P!nk: All I Know So Far oon May 17, a co-headlining set from Thundercat and Flying Lotus on June 12, and then Latin rock band La Santa Cecilia on June 26.

The official season will welcome the public with a fireworks show for the Fourth of July weekend accompanied by Kool & the Gang.

Fans can hear a wide range of artists including Christina Aguilera, H.E.R., Daryl Hall & Oats, Alanis Morissette, and Andrea Bocelli this year.

Several symphonies will be performing classics such as Peter and the Wolf, Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky, Mozart and Mendelssohn with Ruth Reinhardt, and Gershwin and Bonds.

The Hollywood Bowl will also be screening movies accompanied by live symphonies performing the score including Black Panther, The Princess Bride, and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

The venue is also bringing back their annual sing-along screening of The Sound of Music which will be hosted by actress Melissa Peterman.
