Hollyoaks stars commemorated the late cameraman by wearing blue on the day of his funeral.

Cameraman Felix Schroer died after he feared he had coronavirus but couldn't get tested for the deadly bug.

Stephanie Waring, Sarah Jayne Dunn and Alex Fletcher led the Hollyoaks stars tributes to the soap's director of photography on Thursday.

The stars were unable to be at the funeral in person because of social distancing guidelines in the UK amid the coronavirus outbreak.

But the actors and actresses brightened up their social media pages as they sported blue in Felix's honour on the day of his funeral.

Sarah Jayne Dunn wrote: “This one’s for you Felix."

The actress who plays Mandy Richardson added: "Such a kind gent, you will be sadly missed. Sorry we can’t give you a proper send off but know that we’re all thinking of you. Rest in peace xxx."

Stephanie Waring wrote: “Wearing blue and saying goodbye to our @hollyoaksofficial family member Felix."

The actress who plays Cindy Cunningham added: "Wish I could say a proper farewell to you, work will feel your presence missing by all of us R.I.P."

Gregory Finnegan shared the reason why all the stars had wore blue was because they were wearing the colours of Felix's favourite football team Chelsea.

The star who plays James Nightingale added: “Felix Schroer was a lovely man, a talented DOP and an avid Chelsea fan.

"Indeed he could always be relied upon to find the time to tweak a light on the morning after a Spurs loss and throw an amusing comment my way...

“As a mark of respect it was suggested that we all don a Chelsea or Brazil shirts in his honour - now I don’t have a Chelsea shirt you’ll be surprised to hear but have found all my sons Chelsea Match Attax and taped them onto myself.

It comes after Felix's sister Sylvia confirmed her brother had died on social media.

In the wake of Felix's death, Hollyoaks postponed filming until further note.

His sister Sylvia lamented she had lost her sibling after he went into isolation following symptoms of a cold and runny nose over a two-month period.

She tweeted: "I lost my brother on Friday. He had cough/runny nose for 2 months.
