Harry Redknapp has always had a healthy bank balance thanks to his career as a football manager.

In recent years the former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham coach - worth a reported £14million - has inflated his savings after taking part in I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2018.

The star - who owns a flashy pad in the exclusive Sandbanks postcode in Poole, Dorset - won the hearts of the nation during his time Down Under and he was crowned King of the Jungle after 23 days on the series.

Harry, who is marking his 74th birthday today, was reportedly paid a whopping fee - thought to be around £500,000 - to appear on the show and it seems that Harry has managed to use his star power to keep the paychecks rolling in off the back of his jungle stint.

The loveable personality has bagged several endorsements in the last 24 months and he is reportedly preparing to become a soap star following the success of playing himself on camera for numerous campaigns.

Shortly after I'm A Celeb wrapped, he scored a £500,000 cheque to become the new face of McDonald’s with his sport pundit son Jamie Redknapp.

Big cheeses at the fast-food chain signed him up for sports-themed TV ads which went out last spring.

His famous ex-footballer son Jamie Redknapp also took part in a fun board game advert with his old man at the end of 2020.

The advert for Drumond Park's The Logo Board Game shows the father and son as cartoon characters as they lent their voices to the hilarious clip.

Jamie is not Harry's only family member to get in on the endorsements with the TV favourite.

Another food advert he appeared in was for Go Daddy - which used his love of jam roly-poly desert to hook fans.

The 30-second ad told the story of Harry using the website company to help him start up a business selling the jammy sweet treat.

Following the launch, Harry managed to get his beloved wife Sandra involved and got her secret recipe to market under the name of Harry’s own-brand roly-polys.

Showing how the pair love to give back, profits from the yummy pudding - that are still available to buy on his Harry's Roly Poly's site for £18 - go to homelessness charity Hope Housing.

Sandra was also on board when Harry took part in a Christmas advert for Foot Asylum, last year.

The loved up duo starred alongside YouTubers Chunkz, Yung Filly and Amelia Dimoldenburg for the festive bonanza.

The fee given to the couple to take part in the fun ad - that played on the generation age gap between Sandra and Harry and their younger guests as they gathered together for a Christmas feast - has never been disclosed, but it can be expected to have been lucrative for the Redknapps as December adverts are big bucks for brands.

Proving the clip went down well with fans, several people commented on the brand's unusual choice of celeb to star in the advert.

One penned: "Harry Redknapp in a Footasylum ad has made my year!"

Others added: "I didn’t know I needed this, but I do. Harry Redknapp modelling for Footasylum" and "Harry Redknapp modelling for Footasylum is one of the best things to come out of 2020."

He was the face of Go Daddy

And it is not just adverts that Harry has successfully branched into with rumours swirling that he could be taking up acting in one of the UK's biggest soaps - EastEnders.

The former Premier League boss is set to sign on the dotted line for a potential part as Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter’s new sidekick.

It would be a huge coup for the BBC soap’s executives who had kept weeks of behind-the-scenes talks under wraps.

A source told the Mirror: “Harry will be a great addition to EastEnders. Even though he has no traditional acting experience, his character and charm are more than enough to stand him in good stead on the show.

“And with him growing up in the real East End, it makes it even better.”

Harry said in a recent interview he was desperate for a part – and even had a script in mind.

“Mick Carter and his regulars are in The Vic,” said Harry. “They’re at the bar and one says, ‘Ere, you heard Redknapp has moved back in the area?’ Another says, ‘Nah, he’s moved to that posh Sandbanks’. Mick then says, ‘Nah, he’s had enough of it. He’s come back’.”

Harry added: “At this point, I come into the pub, they turn around shocked and I say, ‘I’ve moved round the corner’. Mick then says, ‘We’re starting up a little business. A bit of this, bit of that’.

“I’d like to be in it a year before they bump me off or something.”

Our source added: “Everything has been pretty much agreed and it’s now down to the fine details.”
