Greggs has delayed the launch of its popular festive bake and its new vegan version.
The high street bakery has pushed the date back by almost three weeks - to November 22 instead of November 4.
It announced the postponement with a video on Twitter saying: "It's the festive bake remix!
Greggs didn't offer an explanation for the hold up, just saying it was in "true 2021 style".
It added: "It'll be worth the bake".
The delay comes after months of staff and product shortages in the hospitality and retail sectors.
Greggs customers took to social media to voice their disappointment.
Another joked: "Cheers lads, you've ruined Christmas."
Gregg's announced the original November 4 launch date just two weeks ago, when it revealed it will also be selling a vegan version of the festive treat.
The classic festive bake contains pieces of chicken, sage and onion stuffing and sweetcure bacon, smothered in a creamy sage & cranberry sauce and encased in crumb topped pastry.
The vegan-friendly version is filled with Quorn pieces, sage and onion stuffing and a vegan bacon crumb, finished with a sage and cranberry sauce encased in puff pastry.
When they make it into stores, both will cost £1.60 - the same price as its chicken and steak bakes.
They will be on sale across Greggs' 2,000 stores for a limited period.
