Gemma Collins’ ambitions to be a star of the music charts have been left in ruins after music partner Naughty Boy pulled the plug on the project.
The 39-year-old The Only Way Is Essex star had been due to unleash a summer banger with Naughty Boy – aka 35-year-old Shahid Khan.
But those dreams look as likely to come true as Gemma’s plan to get impregnated by an alien as the chart topping music producer has cancelled their collaboration plans.
Naughty Boy says he is close to polishing off his upcoming, hotly anticipated, second album, Heart Land, and can’t wait for Gemma to get in the recording studio any longer.
He told The Sun: “I love the GC. I was going to do something with her as she can sing, but I have my priorities.
“I think she has potential but it has to come from her. She has to really want it. I wish her all the best with it.”
Gemma and Naughty Boy had intended to unleash a Christmas tune together last year, but work commitments prevented the plan coming to fruition.
The pair then planned to make a summer anthem together, but the coronavirus outbreak torpedoed that plan too.
And now Naughty Boy seems to have sunk Gem’s music plans completely.
The collaboration would have been quite the divergence from Naughty Boy’s projects to date – having previously released tracks featuring chart icons Beyonce and Wyclef Jean.
Indeed, a music source previously said: “Some of Shahid’s advisers think he should try and distance himself quietly from Gemma now this has gone off the boil.
“He is a serious musician and they think it could tarnish his credentials as a producer.”
Naughty Boy's past hits include La La La with Sam Smith, Wonder featuring Emeli Sande, and Runnin' (Lose It All) with Beyonce Knowles.
