Gabby Petito death update – Sandy Hook tribute vid revealed as Dog the Bounty Hunter Duane Chapman hunts Brian Laundrie

A MUSIC video featuring Gabby Petito will be remade in her honor as Dog the Bounty Hunter continues search for Brian Laundrie.

A Sandy Hook tribute song called Irreplaceable is to be re-recorded to raise money for the Gabby Petito Foundation set up after the 22-year-old vlogger was murdered.

In an interview with Fox News, Dog the Bounty Hunter addressed the possibility that Brian might be somewhere on the Appalachian Trail.

Petito, 22, had been missing for two weeks after going on a cross-country road trip with her fiancé Brian Laundrie.

Laundrie is now being hunted by the FBI after an arrest warrant was issued for the 23-year-old.

An autopsy confirmed last week the body found after an extensive FBI search in Wyoming was Gabby.

Gabby's remains were discovered in Grant Teton National Park, where she had been camping with her fiancé when she disappeared.

  • REMAKING MUSIC VIDEO FEATURING GABBY

A Sandy Hook tribute song called Irreplaceable is to be re-recorded to raise money for the Gabby Petito Foundation set up after the 22-year-old vlogger was murdered.

Songwriter Deb Henson said the song had taken on a new meaning because it featured Gabby when she was 14-years-old.

In light of the tragedy, Ms Henson, a talent manager based in Nashville, said one of her artists, Gabrielle “Gabby” Mooney, is going to re-record the song

It is hoped it will raise money for the foundation which will be dedicated to finding missing children.

Henson told the Sun Online: "The lyrics are almost eerie now.

"It's ironic and tragic that she's in this video and that this happened to her."

  • AUTOPSY RESULTS EXPECTED TODAY

The FBI said they will likely get the identity of the remains confirmed by Tuesday.

Former New York Chief Medical Examiner Michael Baden told Fox News the FBI may also have a cause of death if signs of trauma are “obvious,” such as a gunshot wound.

The autopsy results are expected to reveal the cause and time of death, whether the person died at the location where remains were discovered, and a DNA match.

“Most people want to hear about DNA,” he said before adding that the 22-year-old’s tattoos would have been a telltale sign.

  • GABBY’S DAD ADVISES ‘GO ON THAT TRIP’

Gabby Petito’s dad advised anyone wanting to go on a trip should do so.

Joe Petito, speaking at the funeral service for his daughter, encouraged anyone thinking about going on a trip to get up and leave.

“If there’s a trip you guys want to take, take it. Do it now while you’ve got the time. If there’s a relationship you’re in that might not be the best thing for you, leave it now,” he said.

“Gabby is the most amazing person I’ve ever met, so if you’re going to leave here today, I’m asking you to be inspired by the way she treated people,” the father added.

  • GABBY AND BRIAN SEEN ARGUING AT RESTAURANT

Nina Celie Angelo, of New Orleans, said she had been visiting the state with her boyfriend on August 27 when they stopped for lunch at Merry Piglets, a Tex-Mex restaurant in Jackson Hole between 1 and 2pm.

Speaking to Fox News, Angelo claims she watched on in shock as an agitated Laundrie began arguing with a waitress. Petito was with him at the time, she said.

While she said she couldn’t hear what words were being exchanged between Laundrie and the woman, she believed the spat was either over the bill or about money.

Angelo described Laundrie’s body language as “aggressive” and said that he left and returned to the restaurant around four times, continuing the conflict.

  • LAST PHOTO BECOMES MEMORIAL

Gabby Petito’s last Instagram photo that was “posted by her fiancé after her death” has become a memorial for hundreds of mourners.

A memorial site has been set up outside The Monarch, a restaurant and retail space in Ogden, Utah, where the snap was taken, as visitors paid tribute to the late YouTuber.

The vlogger‘s final snap shows her smiling  in front of the distinctive butterfly mural and is captioned  “Happy Halloween.”

The 22-year-old YouTuber’s photo was shared on August 26, two days after she was at the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, her last known location.

  • $25,000 IN DONATIONS

The organizer of a vigil for Gabby Petito expects to make $25,000 in donations to support the YouTuber’s grieving family – “ten times” the original goal.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun from Gabby’s hometown of Blue Point, New York, Nora Garvey said they originally planned to raise a few thousand dollars but the response from the community has been overwhelming.

“Oh, my goal was $2,500. And I think I will have done. I think I will be more than 10 times,” shared Garvey at the solemn Light the Night For Gabby Petito event.

“I just wanted to do something that they can see that would show them how much support they had in the town like something visual, rather than just the luminary just kind of came to my head,” she added.

  • ‘MAKESHIFT MEMORIAL’

A makeshift memorial of white stones arranged in the shape of a cross has since been spotted at the campsite where Gabby’s remains are believed to have been found.

The makeshift memorial was situated just east of where Gabby’s body was located at the Spread Creek Dispersed Campsite.

It is not clear when the cross, seemingly dedicated to the 22-year-old travel vlogger, according to a Fox13 reporter, was created.

  • WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME GABBY’S PARENTS SAW HER?

It is currently unknown Gabby’s parents last saw their daughter.

Joe said Gabby and Brian Laundrie had left Florida to drive to her mom’s home in Blue Point on Long Island’s south shore for Gabby’s brother’s graduation.

The pair then left New York on July 2, 2021, for a cross-country road trip so this is around the time Nicole last saw their daughter.

Gabby was last seen leaving a hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah on August 24, 2021.

Her last Instagram post was shared the following day.

  • SLEUTHS BELIEVE GABBY WAS HOLDING A GUN IN PHOTO

Online sleuths have wildly claimed that Gabby Petito may be holding a gun in a photo after a possible firearm was seen in her fiancé Brian Laundrie's bedroom.

The image was uploaded in January this year as part of a montage of photos on her TikTok channel Nomadic Statik.

The short clip appears to document moments from the blogger's adventures and travels with Laundrie.

It is titled: "Reminiscing, 2020 memories. We have lots of big plans for this new year."

She appears to tease her followers about a potential road trip as she includes the hashtag #vanlifetravel.

Gabby is posing with the object near her mouth where she appears to be kissing the tip.

It's not known if the object is a firearm and the date of the photograph remains unknown.

  • DNA EVIDENCE

Two agents visited Laundrie’s parents’ home on Sunday and asked them for some of his items that may help with DNA matching.

Family lawyer Steve Bertolino told Fox News: “The FBI requested some personal items belonging to Brian Laundrie to assist them with DNA matching and Brian’s parents provided the FBI with what they could.”

The agents were pictured leaving the home and carrying a brown paper bag.

  • WET ROADS

The roads in the Carlton Reserve are extremely wet and muddy as the search for Brian Laundrie continues.

  • FANTASIES ABOUT BRIAN AND GABBY MOVIE

Other posts ask who would play Laundrie in a movie, fantasize about sexual encounters with him, and call for a fundraiser to be set up for him to help to cover his legal costs.

“Maybe I missed it but is there anywhere we could donate to Brian?” one user enquired. “Confident in Brian’s innocence, but the media and criminal justice cartels seem to have it in for him. He’s likely facing a lengthy and expensive legal battle to clear his name. The sleuth work some have put in is commendable, but he may need more from us.”

  • INCEL IDEOLOGY

A number of the posts appear to reference incel ideology, such as the Black Pill, which suggests that men who fail to meet society’s standards of conventional attractiveness are maligned and unfairly treated.

One such post, titled “STOP CRIMINALIZING MALE PATTERN BALDNESS”, bizarrely asserts that Brian is being blamed for Gabby’s death because he’s bald.

“Follicle privilege is a real problem in this country and I’m tired of people pretending it isn’t. MPB-afflicted male-identifying individuals in this country are treated like complete crap.

“We aren’t entitled to the same rights or presumption of innocence as the hair-privileged and the very image of our affliction is relentlessly criminalized by the anti-bald media. We aren’t even given a chance to be the kind of people we WANT to be,” the post reads.

  • BODY SHAMING?

A second topic of discussion posted to the thread asked whether “body shaming” is at play, suggesting that Laundrie is being blamed for Gabby’s death simply because he isn’t conventionally attractive.

The post was uploaded four days ago and titled “Is Brian not attractive enough for gabby cultist (observation).”

It begins: “One has to wonder if there is body shaming at play here. Brian is being accused of killing Gabby (with no evidence of doing so) and brian’s name is being dragged through dirt. These same people will watch a Ted Bundy documentary and fawn and swoon over Ted as Ted is almost seen as a celebrity and idolized by them.

“One should ask themselves in today’s superficial oppressive culture we all should be trying to remove ourselves from and evolve, is Body shaming taking place?”

  • FRIENDS OF BRIAN REDDIT CONTINUED

One post by user u/dannydoofus asks whether Gabby may have framed “Brian for her murder and commit[ed] suicide in a last sadistic act of domestic violence.

“First off, thanks for creating a safe place to talk about domestic violence. We know Gabby was an abuser, and everything she did was for the cameras – is this all a setup so she can “live forever” in books, documentaries, and movies?” the user wrote.

The post elicited a number of responses, with one reading: “I can’t believe I didn’t think of this, but yeah, she definitely seems like the type of person to do something like that. She just wants everyone around her to feel pain.”

“There are a lot of possibilities, but that seems like the most straightforward and obvious one,” a second wrote. “It can’t just be a coincidence that she’s found dead a few days after Brian goes missing.”

  • FRIENDS OF BRIAN REDDIT

As first reported by The Daily Beast, a page on Reddit called r/FriendsofBrian is drawing in trolls and incels in droves.

Followers of the thread have even created “Brian Lives Matter” art in a parody of the Black Lives Matter logo.

“The new BLM movement you need to get behind,” a page pinned to the top of the thread reads.

Another reads: “Say it together… BRIAN’S LIFE MATTERS #BLM.”

The thread, as is common with corners of the internet populated by the far-right, the Friends of Brian subreddit is rife with conspiracy theories about what may have happened between the couple.

  • GABBY’S FAMILY

Petito has a younger brother called TJ Schmidt.

He shared a heartbreaking Instagram post with his sister’s photo and said: “I don’t even know what to say. I’m at a total loss. My heart is shattered.”

  • POTENTIAL FIREARM IN BRIAN'S BEDROOM

It comes as sleuths appeared to spot a potential firearm in Brian Laundrie's bedroom.

The object, which hangs on the shelf, is painted to resemble the American flag.

FBI officials have made several visits to the Laundrie home since Brian returned to Florida alone on September 1.

  • GABBY APPEARED IN ANTI-VIOLENCE MUSIC VIDEO

Titled Irreplaceable, the music video was originally uploaded to YouTube in 2013 and stars a 14-year-old Petito and her two younger brothers.

Long Island native Deb Henson, who wrote and sang the accompanying song, told The Sun her inspiration for the track was the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Connecticut, in December 2012.

In the video, Gabby is seen holding up a sign that reads, “I’m irreplaceable.”

Eight years on, Henson says the song’s message has taken on a new meaning entirely following the murder of Gabby, 22, whose remains were discovered at a Wyoming campsite on September 19.

  • MUSTANG TOWED AWAY

Last week, Laundrie’s silver Mustang was towed away from the family home.

The 23-year-old’s parents drove the car home after they spotted it parked near the Carlton Reserve in Sarasota, according to attorney Bertolino.

Laundrie was named as a person of interest in the case by police after he was accused of “hindering” the probe into Gabby’s disappearance.

  • LAUNDRIE PAINTED AS VICTIM

Supporters of Laundrie appear to be pointing to the bodycam footage as evidence that Brian was a victim of domestic abuse, and that police and the media are treating him with a “double standard.”

“The funny thing is if you simply reversed the genders in this case then everyone would be defending Gabby as having acted in self-defense from an abusive boyfriend,” one user suggested in a Monday post.

“They would point to the clear evidence in the video of all the scratches and bruises on her while he had no visible injuries. If he admitted to attacking her simply because she was telling him to calm down then he would be seen as an evil, violent MONSTER devoid of a soul. And even if she mercilessly killed him it would be labeled ‘self-defense’ and everybody would be cheering the fact that he ‘got what he deserved’.”

The user concluded: “The bloodthirsty vengeful Feminist SIMP mobs of self-entitled Narcissistic KARENS would forever point to the body cam video evidence of the cuts, scratches, and bruises as total 100% justification for her to end his life.”

Another vilely chimed in: “I wish someone would have stopped gabby. the police clearly saw her for the monster she is.”

  • MAKESHIFT MEMORIAL

A makeshift memorial for Gabby has been constructed at the Laundries' home, but police say the action is not allowed.

  • LAST SPOKE TO MOM BY PHONE

Gabby Petito’s remains were found less than 1,000 feet (300m) from where, on the evening of August 27, another pair of travel bloggers caught video images of the couple’s 2012 white Ford Transit van parked along a dirt road.

Petito, who was documenting the couple’s “van life” road trip on social media, posted her final photo to Instagram on August 25, the same day that she last spoke to her mother by phone.

The family believes the couple was headed to Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming at the time.

Schmidt received text messages from Petito’s phone on August 27 and August 30, but suspects that someone other than her daughter sent them, according to investigators.

  • AUTOPSY RESULTS EXPECTED ON TUESDAY

The FBI said they will likely get the identity of the remains confirmed by Tuesday.

Former New York Chief Medical Examiner Michael Baden told Fox News the FBI may also have a cause of death if signs of trauma are “obvious,” such as a gunshot wound.

The autopsy results are expected to reveal the cause and time of death, whether the person died at the location where remains were discovered, and a DNA match.

“Most people want to hear about DNA,” he said before adding that the 22-year-old’s tattoos would have been a telltale sign.
