THERE were 110 additional coronavirus cases in the North East in the last 24-hours.
The Government said a further 23 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of today (Tuesday), bringing the UK total to 127,123.
Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have now been 151,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
The Government also said that, as of 9am today, there had been a further 2,472 lab-confirmed cases in the UK.
It brings the total to 4,375,814.
Government data up to April 12 shows that of the 40,107,877 jabs given in the UK so far, 32,250,481 were first doses – a rise of 59,905 on the previous day.
Some 7,857,396 were second doses, an increase of 201,191.
