Hull Kingston Rovers have recalled five players from loans following news of a double injury blow.
Mikey Lewis, Will Dagger and Joe Keyes all return following short spells with Championship clubs while Will Tate and Tom Whur return after time in League 1 with Rochdale Hornets.
They will also recall Jimmy Keinhorst following his loan deal with Castleford, which ends after they play Leeds Rhinos on Friday.
The decision comes following confirmation of injuries to both Adam Quinlan, whose Rovers career is over after suffering a season-ending shoulder injury, and Jordan Abdull, who will miss a month with a thumb problem.
It comes at a horrendous time for Tony Smith, with his side facing five games in just 23 days.
But Dagger, who has spent time with Championship high-fliers Featherstone Rovers, will now be given a chance to impress in the fullback role, while Lewis and Keyes will get an opportunity to fight for a place in the side after returning from York City Knights and Bradford Bulls respectively.
Smith's attention will now turn to Sunday when Rovers take on winless Leigh Centurions. They are currently seventh in the table but just 3.57 per cent worse off than fifth-placed rivals Hull FC, meaning a play-off spot is well within their grasp.
