TV dating shows don't always have the best track record when it comes to couples staying together in the long-term.
But First Dates seems to buck this trend by proving that you can find love on screen.
The show, which recently returned for its 17th series, has seen hundreds of singletons walk through the doors of the restaurant to be greeted by maitre d' Fred Siriex over the years.

From engagements to weddings and even an adorable baby, there have been some incredible success stories since the show first aired in June 2013.
The most recent happy ending came last week when former contestants Cindy and Elan tied the knot after two cancelled wedding dates.
Here we take a look at their love story and the other First Dates couples who stayed together, as reported by the Mirror Online.
Doreen and James
Heartwarming pair Doreen and James proved you can find love at any age in September 2017.
Lovely Doreen, who was in her early 80s, went on her first ever blind date with author James, who had not been on a date in 70 years.
Things got off to a bad start as 86-year-old James turned up late, but it clearly didn't matter as they immediately hit the booze and got on like a house on fire.
Doreen explained she was devastated when her husband of 46 years, who is the father of her children, left her for a younger woman.
While James emotionally opened up on the loss of his wife, who tragically died in his arms just a month after their Emerald wedding anniversary.
Doreen admitted it hadn't taken them long to start getting along, while James joked they didn't have long to take at their age.
After their date they shared a chocolate and both agreed they liked being in each other's company.
James now has a chapter to add to his autobiography as everything came smelling up roses for him and Doreen.
The couple's relationship is still 'blossoming' as James invited Doreen to visit his rose garden.
Adam and Dan
Painter and decorator Adam revealed he was a former ladies man who always had the prettiest girlfriends at school.
But he went to the First Dates restaurant for a date with a man in 2014.
Explaining that he had a life-changing experience during a two-month stay in hospital, Adam said: "I went in straight and came out gay."
While his date Dan was looking for a more mature man to settle down with because he kept getting messaged by young lads.
The bearded pair realised they both came out at to their loved ones at exactly the same age.
The similarities didn't stop there as they discussed how both their mums thought they were straight because they fancied Kylie Minogue and Julia Roberts.
Adam and Dan went for a drink straight after their date - and have kept up the pace ever since.
Dan moved in that year and proposed on Christmas Day and they are now saving up for their dream wedding in South Africa.
Elan and Cindy
Elan and Cindy first set eyes on each other in October 2017 during one very emotional date.
Both bravely opened up on their personal lives, with Cindy explaining how her mum, Angela, had a terminal brain tumour and Elan discussing his mum's depression.
Angela sadly passed away in June 2018 after battling glioblastoma, a very aggressive type of brain cancer.
After bonding on the TV show, Cindy and Elan have gone from strength to strength, getting engaged and buying their own home in Manchester - but their first two wedding dates were cancelled due to Covid.
Confirming their romance on Instagram, Elan wrote: "Cindy you are the most beautiful person both inside and out.
"I feel like the luckiest guy on Earth to call you my girlfriend, as the last 6 months together have been incredible! I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us!"
After having to postpone their wedding, Elan and Cindy got married last week.
Fran and Will
Tweed lover Will admitted some people think he sounds like a "pompous arse" when he walked into the restaurant in 2017.
Luckily for him he was partnered up with fellow country and beer lover Fran, who admitted she'd been single her whole life and found men were like aliens.
Viewers were convinced this was a no-goer when their awkward date got off to an excruciating start.
Red-faced Will didn't know what to say to get the conversation flowing and Fran claimed she had zero hobbies.
While Fran was in the toilet, Will got some tips on how to compliment her from the ever-helpful Fred and the dater claimed he trusted him because he was a Frenchman.
Will said meeting Fran was "like Christmas comes early" and rated her a perfect 10/10.

At the end of their date, Will admitted he would like to see Fran again, to which she replied "ditto" while praising his dress sense and tweed.
Three years after their first date, Will and Fran revealed the exciting news that they are engaged and had set the date for their wedding.
They even used a photo of themselves together on the show for their save the dates, with Fran saying: "I still can't really believe we met the day we did. I never ever thought I would meet my soul mate and here he is.".
While Will simply replied: "Ditto."
Steve and Lyn
Former royal engineer Steve went on a date with Lyn, who had served in the armed forces for 17 years.
They seemed the perfect match on paper and were both willing to be completely open about their lives.
Steve bravely opened up about his ongoing mental health issues, while Lyn revealed she was six months pregnant with a donor baby.
Lyn revealed her previous relationship was with a woman and she had always wanted children but hadn't found the right person.
Steve could not have been more understanding as he responded: "Whatever’s going to be here then I’ll embrace it all."
The couple confirmed they wanted to keep seeing each other and were still dating three months after their episode aired in April 2018.
Lyn gave birth to her little boy Jaxon-James and Steve was their to support her through motherhood.
Greig and Shaun
Greig has certainly had some major highs and lows on First Dates.
During his first appearance on the show, his date John brutally admitted he didn't find him attractive and the night ended in disaster.
John claimed there was no point in staying for the main course, but Greig actually beat him to it and walked out after paying for his half of the meal.
Having left the table, Greig told the camera: "You've come for a blind date, you're there together to have a laugh and a giggle - don't be a d**k, see it through, buy a dessert."
Thankfully, Greig had a far better experience when he returned in 2017 for a date with Shaun.
In December that year the couple announced they were engaged.
Tweeting the amazing news to First Dates on Twitter, they wrote: "Remember seeing us earlier this year? Well last week I asked Greig to marry me, and he said yes! Can't thank you enough for everything! Shaun. #FirstDates."
The pair tied the knot in April 2019 and shared a collection of wedding snaps on social media.
On their anniversary this year, Shaun wrote: "“Two years ago today we had our first date and now I'm so proud to call him my husband after marrying my best friend and soul mate. Love you Mr Fairweather and can't wait to go out later to celebrate!"
Hema and Ajai
Bow tie-wearing Ajai was on the look out for love in 2016 - and went on a blind date with touch-up photographer Hema.
There was an awkward start to their date as Ajai claimed he was trying to make accountancy sexy, while Hema needed a cushion on her seat to reach his eye level.
In a wow moment, "trigger happy" Ajai revealed that he had proposed to three women but never got past the engagement stage.
It wasn't exactly love at first sight, as Hema told a friend on the phone in the toilets that she wasn't a fan of his massive moustache.
Hema was gone for so long that Ajai thought she had legged it, but from that point they got on so well they didn't realise the restaurant was closing around them.
When asked if they wanted to see each other again Hema burst out laughing, admitting she was put off by the moustache, but they agreed to go on another date and four years on they have been very busy.
First came the moustache removal, then Ajai got down on one knee to propose to Hema, but this time he actually went the whole way and did get married.
"So we are married. It's been about six months and we couldn't be happier," said Hema.
After incorrectly claiming it had been three years since they first met, Ajai added: "It's been amazing. I remember it like it was three years ago.
They have been enjoying married life together and went on a romantic trip to Scotland between lockdowns.
