Everton striker Richarlison has caused an entertaining stir on social media involving Brazilian teammate Neymar.
The pair are familiar with each other from international duty with Brazil and the Everton man tweeted in support of Neymar ahead of Paris St-Germain’s quarter-final tie in the Champions League tonight.
Richarlison requested a mock-up of his Brazilian teammate in an Everton shirt while predicting that Neymar would score in tonight’s match.
He tweeted : “"Good morning guys!!! Passing here just to let you know that today there is a Neymar goal hahaha," he tweeted in his native tongue.
"Does anyone make a montage of Neymar with Everton's shirt there? Hahaha put on profile."
Everton face competition for Ligue 1 star
Everton will reportedly face competition from Tottenham who are also interested in signing Lille’s Mehmet Zeki Celik this summer.
According to the Evening Standard , the right-back is on the radar of both Premier League sides who require strengthening this summer.
It is also understood that Everton have already made contact with Celik’s representatives to sound out the possibility of a move to Goodison Park.
Seamus Coleman currently stands as the only squad option available to Carlo Ancelotti but it appears they will face competition to secure Celik’s services this summer.
New away kit breaks long-standing records
Everton have reportedly broken long-standing records after the sale of the club’s new away kit.
The new amber and blue kit has become the fastest selling away top in the club’s history after it went on sale last Friday.
According to the club, the first day of sales broke records previously held by the unveiling of the 2017 kit worn by Wayne Rooney.
Alan McTavish, the club’s Commercial Director, said : “After our home shirt became the fastest-selling in the club’s history, we are equally delighted that our away kit is also a record-breaker and has been such a hit with fans.
“Having not just one, but two record-breaking kits is testament to the effort that Hummel has put in to working with us and understanding our fanbase and to the work of Fanatics in ensuring that our sales and distribution is able to cater to such great demand.”
