Everton defender Morgan Feeney is heading to Tranmere Rovers on loan.

The 20-year-old will spend the rest of the season with the League One side to aid their survival bid.

Rovers are third bottom of the table, but only three points behind MK Dons, and the highly thought of Feeney will give Micky Mellon an injection of quality to his defensive options.

Feeney, a double Premier League 2 title winner with the Blues, will be embarking on a first loan move of his career when he completes the move to Prenton Park.

The centre-half, who has two first-team appearances under his belt after playing in the Europa League in late 2017, is entering the final year of his contract and talks over the potential for a new deal are expected to be picked up.
