EASTENDERS fans should brace themselves for some heartbreaking scenes as Jean Slater is given the all-clear for her cancer, but can’t bear to tell a dying Daniel.
In classic soap style though, the news doesn't stay secret for long with Mo exposing the diagnosis on the BBC One soap without warning.
EastEnders fans know that Jean got the shock of her life when Daniel returned from the dead during the New Year’s Day flashback episode.
The cancer patient had staged his own funeral and death to stop Jean falling in love with him, only to have to watch him die from his terminal cancer.
However, since his dramatic comeback, the pair have rekindled their romance.
As the couple celebrated Valentine’s Day earlier this week, Daniel proved his love for Jean by throwing a romantic surprise for her.
Wearing a red feather bower, he said: "There's no one I would rather be with when I die."
In an upcoming episode, Daniel gets a visit from the nurse who informs him his hospice is closing.
Jean insists Daniel stays with her after the shock news and he’s touched by the gesture.
Following a conversation with Daniel, Jean decides she needs to hatch a plan to cheer him up.
Later, Jean presents her surprise to Daniel after enlisting help from Mo and Kush.
Jean meanwhile tells Daniel he won’t die until he knows she’s okay.

Later in the week, the day of Jean’s oncology appointment arrives and she's a nervous wreck - but Daniel insists she must go.
Jean is overwhelmed at the appointment when she hears that her MRI scan has come back clear.
She can’t bear to tell Daniel the news - knowing he's dying - and pretends she hasn’t got her results yet.
But Mo soon reveals that Jean has been given the all clear.
Later, Jean and Daniel sit in the Square Gardens.
But when she goes up to get Daniel a drink, she’s left in shock when she returns.
Speaking on Loose Women in January 2020, comedian Ade confirmed his character - who is refusing cancer treatment - was going to die soon on the show.
When asked how long he’d be on the soap for, Ade implied it wouldn’t be very long: “Well he’s got cancer and he’s not having any treatment.”
When the actor was asked whether his storyline would be “resolved” before his death, he said: “I would think so.”
