THERE’S trouble ahead for love’s young dream couple of Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) and his girlfriend Dana Monroe (Barbara Smith).
Lovestruck Bobby had been planning a surprise for Dana, much to the annoyance of Peter as they are both taking time off work in the wake of her shocking attack.
Consumed by guilt for not being able to protect Dana, he wants to put things right with her.
Dana’s dad Harvey (Ross Boatman) isn’t all impressed with Bobby’s actions and for not stepping in to help her, and he tries to convince his daughter to end things with Bobby, but she won’t hear a bad word against him.
Harvey still isn’t sure, even though Bobby had gone to him to express his feelings for Dana.
Bobby and Dana have breakfast, and Iqra reveals that new mosque application has gone through to the next stage.
Meanwhile, determined to make Dana happy, Bobby give her a gift and tells her he loves her.
Things go from bad to worse for Harvey when he finds a letter in Dana’s dressing gown and is not happy with what he sees.
Harvey confronts Dana about her choice to defer her university place, but she defends herself and won’t be persuaded.
Desperate, Harvey turns to Bobby to try and get him to convince Dana to change her mind and go to university as planned.
Understandably wanting to get in Harvey’s good books, Bobby reluctantly agrees but it all goes horribly wrong and backfires.
After his plan fails, Harvey begs Kat for more work so that he can give Dana the best start at university with more money.
Dana appreciates the gesture, but confirms that she has officially deferred her place and tells Harvey he must accept her decision.
What will Harvey make of it? Does Dana still have a future with Bobby?
EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday September 27, and Tuesday September 28 on BBC One.
