Husband and wife TV presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford were forced to explain why they're not social distancing on This Morning.
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have been sat two metres apart all week, but the Friday hosts were very close together while presenting Friday's ITV show.
For many it was very obvious why the husband and wife duo were close together, but that didn't stop people complaining on social media, reported Mirror Online.
Eamonn was forced to point out that they live together - while Ruth joked a lot of people think their marriage is 'fake'.
He said: "As regards to social distancing, don't bother phoning in and saying, 'Why are these two together?'.
"We're together all day in the house. We live together. In case a lot of you don't know this we actually do."
Giggling Ruth said: "A lot of people think it’s a fake marriage darling. A TV marriage."
Eamonn added: "A lot of people think, 'How could she have pulled him?'. We even share a bed most of the time when I don’t fall asleep downstairs on the sofa."
Ruth explained that they are allowed to be sat together because they are from the same household.
Eamonn pointed out that if he was presenting with Rochelle Humes then she would be on the other side of the studio.
The presenter admitted that he had been watching his wife become very anxious over the coronavirus outbreak.
Ruth said: "When you’re at home it feels like a nice break from work at the moment. Then you remember why you’re at home and not at work.
"I think I'll have a lookout the news and see whats happening. It's important to be informed.
"Then you hear of the deaths and it makes me very anxious and scared. It's trying to balance."
This Morning viewers took to Twitter to admit it was lovely to be see the couple sat together.
One viewer said: "Quite nice seeing Eamonn and Ruth sitting right next to each other, it’s one of the benefits of a husband and wife presenting duo during these times!"
"Are people actually that stupid they’re wondering why Eamonn and Ruth are sat close together? They live in the same house, they are in close contact anyway," added another.
A third said: "Before anyone says Eamonn & Ruth are sat too close to each other, they live together!"
