Strictly Come Dancing star Dan Walker was mortified with his mother's hilarious reaction to his performance.

The BBC Breakfast presenter's mum visited him on set of the dancing competition but was more interested in the great parking situation than his moves.

A few days ago, Dan tweeted his interaction with Mrs Walker.

"My mum came to #Strictly on last night. “What did you think mum?” “I was very impressed with the parking situation”," he tweeted.

""Anything else?” “The guys who cleaned the floor in between dances were excellent & I had a lovely coffee half way through”."

Rylan Clark showed his tweet to viewers on Strictly: It Takes Two much to Dan's embarrassment.

He was left a little red-faced before he joked to the host: "That's what you want from your mum!"

On the bright side, his mother had a great coffee whilst watching her son dance.

It comes after Dan ruled himself out from winning the glitterball trophy and, instead, backed fellow Strictly star Rose Ayling-Ellis.

The 44-year-old urged fans to back the “inspiring” star rather than himself following her “magical” foxtrot last weekend.

Dan said: “I know I’m in it but I would give Rose Ayling-Ellis the glitterball now. I voted for her

“She’s amazing, her foxtrot with Giovanni was magical and she is inspiring people every week. My family also sat next to hers last night and they are adorable too.”

Meanwhile, Dan will be dancing the Cha Cha with his pro dancer Nadiya Bychkova on Saturday.

All the training the presenter has done for the show already resulted in a bit of weight loss.

He spoke about seeing a dramatic difference in his body after going through a rigorous training routine for the show.

In an Instagram post last month he revealed he lost a third of a stone from training for the show with his professional dance partner Nadiya Bychkova.

He wrote: "Working on my new dancey posture with @sallynugenttv on the BBC Breakfast this morning.

"Also noticed that my trousers were a bit loosey goosey. Turns out I've lost a third of a stone already dancing with @nadiyabychkova!!"

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One on Saturday night.
