To say it's been a mad week for Diogo Jota is a complete understatement.

Earlier today, Liverpool confirmed the signing of the 23-year-old from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Reds agreed a deal worth an initial £41m, which could eventually rise to £45m.

Speaking of his arrival, Jota said: "They are the best team in the world at the moment. It was impossible to say no.

"I've played two years in the Premier League now with Wolves and it's the right time for me to play in the Champions League again.

"Liverpool are a special team; the way they press, the intensity that they put into the game is just another level and that’s what I want to be part of – that anger to play the game and to score goals.

“I think that’s a great way to play the game and that’s the way I want to play as well."

But moving to Liverpool wasn't the only big change in Jota's life this week.

On Thursday, his partner Rute Cardoso announced they are expecting a baby boy.

At their baby reveal they popped the balloon and blue confetti spilled out.

Posting a picture of the special moment, Rute said: "3...2...1... IT’S A BOY."
