A Downing Street spokesman said on Tuesday evening: “The Prime Minister’s condition is stable and he remains in intensive care for close monitoring. He is in good spirits.”

Meanwhile, deaths in the UK today reached 6,159 with 758 people dying in England alone - Britain's deadliest day yet.
