CORRIE’s Alya is left concerned for her grandmother Yasmeen when Gail says she overheard her crying in the garden.
Alya - who is played by actress Sair Khan in the ITV soap - knows something is dodgy about Geoff but isn’t sure exactly what.
Corrie fans have watched in horror as Yasmeen has become embroiled in a long-running coercive control storyline as she’s abused and bullied at the hands of husband Geoff.
Bistro manager Alya has always had her suspicions when it comes to Geoff and was horrified when they returned from Vegas and announced they’d married.
Her suspicions were piqued when Geoff spread that Yasmeen was an alcoholic in an attempt to cover his tracks.
In an upcoming episode, Yasmeen is thrilled when Alya tells her working for Ray was a mistake and she’d love to come back and work at Speed Daal.
But Alya’s suspicions of Geoff grow when he snaps at the pair of them for gossiping and chatting when they should be working.
Yasmeen then reveals how she’s hurt her back because Geoff insisted she move and hoover under the sofa, leaving her granddaughter conflicted.
Later, after Geoff deeply upsets Yasmeen, Gail hears her sobbing in the garden.
As Alya and Ryan head home, Gail approaches them and tells them she heard Yasmeen crying while feeding her chickens.
