Police are searching for a biker who swore at a police officer after putting children at risk down a country path.

The motorcyclist was today (May 18) spotted down the footpath behind Coppull United Football Club where he was showing 'no regard' for kids and dog walkers who had been using the path.

The path, which leads to Coppull Moor Lane, was being used by the rider, who has been pictured riding a white and purple off-road motocross vehicle.

An off duty police officer approached the biker, with the biker giving them an 'offensive gesture' in response.

Police now want to speak to the person on the bike.

An appeal from Chorley Police says: "Can you help us to identify this rider who has been riding on the footpath at the back of Coppull United Football Club which leads to Coppull Moor Lane?

"He has been there for an hour and riding on the paths with no regard for the children and dog walkers who are using the footpath.

"The rider gave an offence gesture to an off duty officer."
