Pop princess Cheryl has been left outraged after a social media app claimed she looked almost fifty years old.

The former Girls Aloud star, 36, took to her Instagram stories to kill time during a car journey by playing around with the many fun filters the app has to offer.

After claiming she's 'old school' and still finds it 'weird' speaking to a phone camera, the former X Factor judge began to play around on her phone as she posed up a storm for her devoted fans.

However, her stunning smile was quickly wiped from her face as she got to the 'How old are you' filter?

The app claimed that Cheryl looked 47 years old

Awaiting her fate, Cheryl looked excited but this quickly turned to a gasp and her jaw hit the floor when she was told her featuers resembled that of a 47-year-old woman.

The brunette beauty quickly laughed off the ten year difference as she continued to play around with the gadgets and moved on to a flilter based on the TV series Friends, which claimed she was most like the much-loved character Pheobe.

Her instagram antics come after Cheryl spoke about juggling motherhood as a single parent and admitted that she often leaves two-year-old Bear at home when she works on a live set.

The Fight For This Love hitmaker confessed that she find it too 'hard' to be both a mother and 'the best dance captain' ahead of BBC dance competition The Greatest Dancer's live show schedule.

The Geordie beauty also hinted at her son Bear's stardom potential which wouldn't come as a surprise due to his superstar mum and fellow global pop sensation dad Liam Payne, 26.
