Celebrity Gogglebox viewers in hysterics as Line Of Duty’s Adrian Dunbar constantly sneezes

CELEBRITY Gogglebox viewers were in hysterics tonight as Line Of Duty star Adrian Dunbar couldn't stop sneezing.

Some joked it was the only thing he did in the episode, while others pointed out it was unfortunate in the middle of a pandemic.

The actor, who plays Superintendent Ted Hastings in the hit BBC crime drama, was joined by his co-stars Vicky McClure and Martin Compston for the Stand Up To Cancer special.

And his sneezing bout came as Vicky and Martin tried to talk, with the uncontrollable reflex stopping them in their tracks.

One viewer wrote on Twitter: "Adrian Dunbar sneezing is apparently one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. Dad was looking at me like #Gogglebox."

Another posted: "Dunbar sneezing into his hand. .. twice!!! Really did he not get the memo... #Gogglebox."

A third shared: "The only thing Adrian Dunbar has done so far is sneeze. #Gogglebox."

Meanwhile the trio might play tough cops, but tonight proved they're anything but when it comes to horror movies.

Wes Craven's 1997 slasher classic, Scream, had Vicky shrieking in terror.

A scary moment in the cult flick had her holding her hands up to her face.

Her reaction sent Martin into hysterics and she ended up falling over on the couch laughing along with him.

An unmoved Adrian, looked calmly over at the pair and couldn't understand what all the fuss was about.

Gasping for air between laughs Vicky asked him: "did that not make you jump?"

He sternly replied, "no" to which Vicky asked, "not even a tiny bit".

But then she turned to Martin to ask the same thing and he fibbed his way through it.

"No," he lied, but Vicky caught him out and he admitted, "yeah it did".

The threesome loved being part of Celebrity Gogglebox this year, with Adrian saying: "It’s an honour to be part of the esteemed Gogglebox line-up."

Vicky, who plays Det Insp Kate Fleming, admitted she was "really chuffed" to be involved.

Martin, who plays DS Steve Arnott, reinforced how much fun they had: “We had such a laugh filming Gogglebox together and we’re delighted to be able to play a small part in the Stand Up To Cancer campaign."
