Brit Primark model faces 15 years in hellhole jail with murderers after being ‘caught with £30 worth of weed’ in Bali

A BRITISH Primark model faces 15 years in a hellhole jail after allegedly being caught with just £30 worth of marijuana in Indonesia.

Jed Texas, 30, has been held in Bali's notorious Kerobokan prison since police raided his beachside villa in the resort of Canggu in April.

The raid reportedly uncovered nine packets of dried marijuana in the bathroom of the property.

Texas, who has previously modelled for the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Prada, is now in custody at Kerobokan, which is known for housing murderers, rapists, and hardened gang members.

He is charged with buying, selling or acting as an intermediary in the sale and purchase of drugs.

According to local reports, he faces up to 20 years in prison and a £524,000 fine if convicted.

The model, originally from Islington, was busted after police were tipped off that a British national often smoked cannabis at the villa.

It's been reported that Texas - real name Jed Higgins - bought the drugs for around £30 around five miles away in Bali's Petitenget district.

A total of 85.15 grams of marijuana was seized.

Texas was initially taken to a local police station, then moved to Kerobokan prison, where each cell can hold up to 20 inmates in sweltering conditions.

A second indictment accuses Texas of owning, keeping, controlling, or providing the drugs.

The jail is a far cry from Texas's former jet set lifestyle in the fashion world.

Discovered by a photographer while out drinking with pals in 2011, he was later signed by Elite Model Management.

He went on to work with the likes of supermodel Lara Stone and for a time dated Australian model Hannah Judd.

He starred in Primark's 2012 autumn/winter campaign, has appeared on catwalks in Milan and Paris, and was nominated for Glamour Infusion’s Best Magazine cover in 2016.

The Kerobokan also currently holds Brit grandma Lindsay Sandiford, who in January 2013 was sentenced to death after being caught smuggling cocaine into Bali.

A total of 4.8kg of the drug was found in the lining of Sandiford's suitcase during a routine search after she landed in Bali from Bangkok, Thailand in May 2012.

Pictures from inside the prison show dozens of men living in one room and forced to sleep on the floor of their cell.
