No new confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported in Ayrshire for the first time during the pandemic.

Latest figures from the Scottish Government show a total of 1,061 people have been diagnosed with the disease - the same as yesterday's reported number.

There has also been a fall in the number of patients battling COVID-19 in Ayrshire hospitals, with the total now standing at 11, down from 13.

There remain fewer than five patients in intensive care.

Scotland's coronavirus death toll now stands at 2,375 – which is a rise of 12 from the figure yesterday.

A total of 116,848 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS labs to date with 15,471 positive results.
