Emergency services are currently in attendance at a house fire in Uddingston.

Three fire appliances are battling the huge blaze at the property in the Cuillins Estate, just off Old Ediinburgh Road, in the Lanarkshire town.

Locals have reported seeing smoke billowing from the property with reports on social media claiming the roof of the house is completely destroyed.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman told Lanarkshire Live: “Police were made aware of a fire at a property in The Cuillins, Uddingston, around 2.50pm on Monday, April 19.

“Emergency services are in attendance and no-one has been injured.”
