Sex dolls that have synthetic goosebumps on their skin are giving them a human-like appearance close to being indistinguishable.

Supplier Sex Doll Genie (SDG) told Daily Star Online that demand has rocketed during the coronavirus lockdown.

It comes after manufactures that SDG works with introduced a range of groundbreaking life-like features.

Some of its sex robots, produced by AI AI-Tech, are capable of blinking as they hold conversations with customers.

And its dolls manufactured by Gynoid are so realistic they have goosebumps placed into the skin.

SDG co-founder, Amit, told us: "AI AI-Tech's dolls smile, they blink. We're getting to the point where we can now call them sex robots.

"But some of the other premium brands like Gynoid, they are like probably the most high end dolls, they go up to £6,000 and start around £4,000.

"The team is very, very trained. They're hyper-realistic, we are talking about goosebumps on the skin realistic kind of details.

"They're hand-made. If you look at the video, you can see the veins in the arms or in the chest.

"I think that's also a very interesting innovation. There are like on the forefront.

"It's pretty crazy, I have some videos of their recent order, and you look at these videos and you think, she could just blink any second now, it looks that real.

Gynoid's models even have goosebumps on their skin

"To look at, we're already there (looking like humans), when you look at the video Gynoid have got, for a second, I mean I do this all day long, I'm always looking at the dolls, but for a second I was not only sure if it's a real person or doll because they are so realistic.

"So in terms of looking at one and not being able to distinguish, we are getting very close."

SDG said demand had soared from single people and couples during the lockdown.

With many left away from their partners or unable to seek casual sex, it said attitudes had become more open.

The dolls are close to being "indistinguishable" from humans

Fellow co-founder, Janet Stevenson, previously said: “We are seeing the sex doll industry go through a revolution during the COVID-19 pandemic with a huge increase in orders from both couples and male and single females.

"Couples who have been quarantined together seem to be much more open to trying something new after possibly experimenting more during the lockdown.

"We are also seeing more single men and women placing orders for the first time; we think this is because they view solo play as a safer alternative to dating apps like Tinder right now.

“What’s interesting about this massive increase in demand is that we are also seeing a changing demographic which is very positive for the sex doll industry and speaks to changing attitudes at home.

"The traditional stereotype of loners choosing sex dolls as a last resort is totally inaccurate.

"What we are seeing now is doll use is going mainstream with men and women both enthusiastic about bringing a doll into their bedroom.”
