A Beverley couple made their snowy vows to each other on a special Christmas-themed episode of Don't Tell The Bride on Thursday night.

From fake snow and a giant snow globe to the reception being in a huge inflatable igloo, groom Liam, 23, had his wintry wedding idea nailed on from the start.

It was a far cry from the ideal wedding dreamed up by his half-Portuguese wife-to-be, Georgia, 22, who had envisioned the pair making their vows on the silky white sands of a beach in the Algarve.

At the start of the show, the couple said their first date had been a cosy night-in in front of a horror movie.

And although Georgia said Liam is a wonderful dad to her daughter Willow, his style choices and housework abilities are a bit of a horror show.

"She's like a switch, one dirty sock is enough to explode," Liam said.

"If I was to describe Georgia in one word it would be fire - oh so beautiful, but dangerous."

Now two years into their relationship, the show heard how Liam had wanted to propose to Georgia at Christmas in front of all her family.

But he was somewhat upstaged after Georgia's mum Sharon gave her her Christmas present - a brand new car.

"We all got together at Christmas and I thought I would do it front of the whole family. Then Georgia's mum got her a car and she was absolutely ecstatic. She stole my thunder," Liam said.

It's fair to say both struggled with the show's mandatory policy of not seeing each other for the three weeks of wedding preparation before the big day, with both shedding a tear as they waved each other goodbye.

But those weren't the only tears cried on this episode, with Liam wildly missing the expectations of Georgia and her family.

That included the hen do, where instead of "some nice drinks and some food", as Georgia was imagining, Liam had booked them in for a day at Beverley adventure park Let Loose.

Georgia and her bridesmaids were told to "dress to impress", then spent the day in the pouring rain on the park's high ropes course.

There was further controversy when the bridesmaids - including Georgia's mum - were asked to wear elf costumes to the wedding.

But it all came good in the end as Georgia and Liam were wed in a winter wonderland.

Thursday's episode aired on E4 at 9pm. You can catch up on episodes of Don’t Tell The Bride on All 4.
