Apex Legends' season announcement trailers always carry a distinct hype with them, despite rarely revealing any details about the game itself, the cinematography always perfectly captures the sense of excitement players should feel when playing the game.

Apex game director, Chad Grenier, gave a few more details about the new season, he said: "Similar to Bloodhound, Seer is all about tracking enemies but in a different way and a very unique kit.

"While you're aiming down the sights, you'll have a heartbeat sensor which gives you hints as to where an enemy might be, if you think you've located them you can use your tactical which sends out some of those drones out of your chest and will actually reveal and track the enemy's location.

"The ultimate is really powerful, especially in certain gameplay situations, you can send out hundreds of micro-drones and create a sphere around an area that you choose and all enemies that are moving quickly to that space are tracked."

Grenier also stated there are some new Arena maps in the works, however, no full details were revealed.

A ranked mode will also be introduced to Arenas in Emergence- no details have been released yet regarding whether this will be a seperate rank from the usual ranked battle royale or will be related.

A gameplay trailer for Seer will be released on Monday, July 26 which will showcase the different way Seer can be used in different combat situations.

The start date of Emergence was announced for next month on August 3.
