Once again, September 13 brought magic to children in Hull and East Yorkshire, who threw themselves into character and dressed up as one of Roald Dahl's famous characters.

Friday was Roald Dahl Day and would have been the legendary author's 103rd birthday, and the day lives on to celebrate his life and work, with many digging out his books for yet another read.

We asked you on our Family News - Hull Live Facebook page to share pictures of your children dressing up and were inundated with brilliant and creative looks.
