7.15am Chelsea transfer news LIVE: Lemar blow, Chilwell summer target, Cavani misses PSG match, Piatek bid

FRANK LAMPARD has less than week to spend some of his £150m war chest, and appears to be growing frustrated with the club's lack of action in the transfer market.

The Blues are still hoping to get Edinson Cavani and Krzysztof Piatek.

But they will not be signing Thomas Lemar after Atletico Madrid rejected any move this month.

Meanwhile, Ben Chilwell is among a number of targets for the summer window.

Chelsea youngster Tariq Lamptey is weighing up three options over signing a pre-contract agreement.

The right-back has made three appearances for the Blues this season, including his debut.

But the 19-year-old is concerned over his future playing time with Reece James expected to hold down the first choice spot for years to come.

With his contract expiring in the summer, Lamptey is able to negotiate a contract ahead of a summer move.

And Goal report Lille, Torino and an unnamed Premier League side are leading the chase.

While Lamptey will be a free agent in the summer, Chelsea will still be due a compensation fee as he is under 23 years old.

Atletico Madrid will not let Thomas Lemar leave this month, despite interest from the Premier League.

Chelsea are among a host of clubs that have been linked with a move for the Frenchman – who has struggled since moving to Spain in 2018.

But the La Liga giants want him to stay, after the club's chief executive Gil Martin told Goal: “Lemar is not for sale. There is no way he can change.”

The 24-year-old has managed just ten starts in all competitions this season, leading to rumours of a move, with Arsenal and Man Utd also linked.

Tottenham have been told to seal the deal for former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud this week.

Ex-Spurs midfielder Jamie O'Hara has told Jose Mourinho and co that they should make a move for the Frenchman.

O'Hara told Sky Sports News: “I'm going to throw it out there, I wouldn't mid seeing Giroud at Tottenham. Tottenham are desperate and Tottenham need a striker, they need to get someone in for Harry Kane.

“They don't want to say it's going to be second fiddle to Harry Kane… Giroud will come in and he's a World Cup winner.

“He's going to give you, the way that we play, the style that we play, with Son, with Moura running off the flanks, I think Giroud would be a good fit.”

“You want him on your team. I have played with him this season.”
