For halfback Frank Lomani returning to his village in Nukubalavu, Savusavu, with the FIJI Water Flying Fijians last Saturday brought back fond memories of his humble beginning.
“This is where it all started,” he said.
“Nothing fancy but it was a happy life. It was very simple and a humbling experience.”
Lomani said to bring the Flying Fijians over is something very special for him especially in giving back to the people in the village.”

He highlighted the presence of the Flying Fijians is a big boost in the lives of children in the village.
“Before we always hear rugby commentaries on the radio now with these children, they watch it on TV. Now with a pathway in place they can get there as we cannot all become doctors or teachers.”
