Wailevu mother of three, Radhika Devi Chand, last week proved that age is just a number when she graduated with a Level Three National Certificate in Aged Care and Community Care.
Mrs Chand, 41, was among students who graduated from the Sangam Institute of Technology College of Nursing in Labasa.
She returned to studies with the help of her husband, Akash Sharma.
“Believe in your wife and support her dream so that she feels appreciated and live happy,” Mr Sharma said.
Mr Sharma is encouraging husbands in the Northern Division to support their wives after seeing his wife, out of the 33 graduates, win the Overall Clinical and Academic Performance Award.
“We should believe in our wives and if they want tertiary education qualification then we should support them.
“Age, house chores, children and what the society thinks, shouldn’t limit one’s education achievement,” he said.
They have three children aged 20, 16 and 12.
