FNU Signs Historical MOU With Bondwell

The Fiji National University (FNU) has signed a historic MOU with Janty Bondwell Ltd.

Fiji National University (FNU) signed a historic MOU with Janty Bondwell Ltd at the Nasinu Campus yesterday.

The MOU will focus on advancing ICT products, alumni member promotions, and internship and employment opportunities for FNU alumni. Additionally, Bondwell, as a special token for appreciation for the new partnership has announced 15% discount on all their ICT products through their online store for the next five years.

FNU’s Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba said that the signing of the MOU signifies a commitment to collaboration, innovation, and progress.

“FNU alumni bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience, while Bondwell brings expertise and resources that will enrich our academic and research endeavours. Together, we can create synergies that will pave the way for groundbreaking advancements for both our organisations.”

“This partnership holds immense potential for both our current students as well as our alumni, as it will open up new avenues for research, internships, and industry engagement, providing our students with real-world experiences and enhancing their employability,” added the Acting Vice-Chancellor.

She informed the attendees that the MOU is also a testament to FNU’s unfaltering commitment towards the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 8 – the commitment towards providing decent work and economic growth, and 17, the forming, renewing, and fostering of partnerships for the goals.

Janty Bondwell Ltd’s Digital Marketing Manager, Mr Sidharth Prakash, said the partnership aims to empower individuals to excel in the digital realm.

“Today, we establish a five year partnership with FNU, the largest university in the South Pacific, FNU boasts over 30,000 alumni from various countries offering various academic, technical and vocational programmes.”

“At Bondwell, we believe in the transformative power of education, health and sports, through this partnership we will support partnerships in these areas benefitting individuals and communities,” said Prakash.

The partnership will open up new avenues for research, internships, and industry engagement, providing FNU students with real-world experiences and enhancing their employability.

Graduates of FNU and its former institutions can register to be part of the exclusive Alumni Connect Portal and remain connected to their classmates and the University.

Registered alumni can receive news and updates on key University activities, read alumni success stories and feature articles, scholarship and upskilling opportunities, networking events and professional development and training seminars.
