Boxing fans are urged to buy their tickets early to avoid frustration.

The FMF Foods Limited Fiji Boxing Series first leg gets underway at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva on June 10.

Tickets go on sale from next Monday.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday, promoter Alan Kumar said the releasing of the tickets is crucial in their preparation for next Saturday’s boxing programme.

“We are on countdown now, so come next Monday, which is a public holiday the tickets will be available from Sports World branches in Nausori, Nakasi, Damodar City and its branch at Waimanu Road in Suva,” Kumar said.

“There’s been a massive response from fans, the only thing I’m worried about is that I don’t want to turn spectators away from the FMF Gymnasium on June 10. By the looks of it, people will flood in at the FMF Gymnasium on June 10 but the concern is when people from the West and Vanua Levu come down and there is no ticket available. It would be a sad moment for us but we can’t do much.”

The main bout is for the Fiji super welterweight title fight between crafty Jese Ravudi against Winston Hill. The main supporting bouts see stylish Nathan ‘The Prince’ Singh taking on Masing Warawara of Vanuatu while Junior Binnu Singh fights veteran Junior ‘The Razor’ Farzan Ali for the Fiji featherweight title.

Kumar said he has been monitoring the boxers and they are in good shape.
