Papalitan na ng isang Premier Volleyball League selection ang Mhicaela Belen-led NU Lady Bulldogs bilang bet ng ‘Pinas sa 7th Asian Volleyball Confederation Cup for Women sa Agosto 21-29 sa Philsports Arena sa Pasig.
Ito ang sorpresang isiniwalat Linggo ng hapon ni Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president Ramon ‘Tats’ Suzara kay National University head Dr. Carlos Ermita, Jr. pagkaraang umurong sa umaga ang Bulldogs sa 5th Premier Volley League Invitational Conference semifinals.
“We are now writing to inform your good office, though with much regret, that we shall be releasing the NU student-athletes and coaches from the National Training Program, effective today [Sunday], 7 August 2022,” anang pangulo ng national sport association.
Idinagdag pa ni Suzara na ang desisyon ay inaaayon sa kapakanan pa rin ng mga bumubuo na estudyanteng atleta, gayundinsa mga sumasakop ritong coaches at management. (Gerard Arce)
