Ruffa Gutierrez trended on Twitter again
Actress Ruffa Gutierrez received criticisms from the online community because she said this inappropriate word on national television.
There are certain words being banned to be said on-air. For taped broadcast or airing, this is not a problem as “bleeping” can be done or that certain portion can be edited out. However, during live shows or broadcasts, people in front of the camera should be careful of what they are saying because their show might face a penalty.
During the Tuesday episode of the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime, for the Di Ba Teh segment, Ruffa was one of the judges. She was joined by comedienne Kaladkaren Davila and the show’s mainstay host Jugs Jugueta.
After Ruffa Gutierrez was introduced, Kaladkaren said, “Ang ganda niya daw ngayon nag-pink siya.” The comedienne smiled while touching the sleeve of Ruffa’s pink coat. Then, the actress exclaimed in jest, “gag*” and both of them laughed.
Ruffa said that pink is her favorite color and Kaladkaren said that she is not making any issue out of it. With this, Vice Ganda, who appeared to be clearing the air, said that Lady Gaga is the favorite artist of Kaladkaren.
Then, the Unkabogable Star said that they are apologizing for the word that Ruffa said. “Masyado lang siyang happy. Mag-sorry ka na din Ruffa,” Vice said. At first, the actress asked why and apparently, she did not know that she said an inappropriate word on TV.
When she was told that the word was forbidden on-air, she said, “Oh, I’m so sorry, I didn’t know.” Here’s the video clip from Twitter user @xsleepylashesx.

Because of this, Ruffa’s name trended on Twitter. She received bashing because of this. There were netizens who said that It’s Showtime should replace her while there were those who said that she should voluntarily exit from the show. Here are some tweets against Ruffa Gutierrez.
