Janine Gutierrez received criticism for recalling her audition during her Kapuso days
Kapamilya actress Janine Gutierrez reacted to a netizen who criticized her statement about her Encantadia audition in the past.
Before transferring to ABS-CBN, Janine already did several teleserye when she was a Kapuso. However, just like many actresses, she also went through auditions and rejections.
In a recent interview for her new movie Ngayon Kaya with Paulo Avelino, the actress was asked about the moments when she realized things are meant to be. She recalled that past audition that she did for the Kapuso fantasy series.
Janine Gutierrez revealed that she auditioned for the role of Amihan, which was first portrayed by Iza Calzado. However, Janine did not get the part as it was given to Kylie Padilla. The Kapamilya actress realized that a different Amihan was meant for her because her character in her new movie is Amihan also.
In line with this, a netizen criticized Janine for mentioning her former home network in promoting her new movie now that she is a Kapamilya. “Kada may show ka o ganap laging dawit GMA sa presscon mo para umingay? haha move on kana ante. Sa ngalan ng brilyante ng tubig sana hindi mag flop movie mo gaya nung MMMY series mo Chareng! Labyu,” the netizen said. The critic of Janine also said that it is good that the Amihan role in Encantadia was given to Kylie.
Janine Gutierrez retweeted this post of her critic and explained that she just answered the question when she was asked about her meant-to-be moments in her career. She mentioned that experience because of her Amihan character in her movie with Paulo.
“Super agree na good thing si Kylie yung naging Amihan sa Enca, super bagay & galing niya, lalo na action pa. Deserve,” the Kapamilya actress added.
