Since the inception of the Rugby World Cup in 1987, only 21 players have won multiple World Cups, but that number will be more than doubled if the Springboks were to emerge victorious in Saturday’s final against the All Blacks.

Only four Test nations — Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and England — have shared between them the nine Rugby World Cup titles from 1987 to 2019.
And with England as the only side to claim World Cup honours just once, the Springboks, All Blacks and Wallabies’ multiple title wins have ensure that several of their legends have two World Cup winners’ medals.
The Springboks have two double World Cup winners, Frans Steyn and Os du Randt; while the Wallabies and All Blacks have five and 14 respectively.

However, if the Springboks manage to beat the All Blacks in Saturday’s final and win back-to-back Rugby World Cup titles, captain Siya Kolisi and 22 of his South African teammates will join that illustrious and exclusive club of double World Cup winners.
